"Repondez s'il vous plait"
I'm wondering if people do not "RVSP" because they do not know what it means. It is an abbreviation for a French term. SHAH RIGHT! Give me a break. Invites have had an "RSVP" section for decades and STILL people do not choose to utilize it. I'd like to compare it to the signal stick that protrudes from the left side of the steering wheel. Every single car comes with one, but very few people actually use them.
I know everyone has thrown some sort of gathering where having a head count would be a bonus. That is when actually using the RSVP tool is essential. And today, in the 21st century, technology has made it so very simple. These days, you usually do not even have to dial a number to call someone and let them know, but a simple "reply" to an email will suffice.
I beg you. Out of respect for others, please start using the RSVP tool AND use your blinker while driving. It saves others a headache.
Amen.

Rear Window Stickers
...here's my questions and thoughts on this topic....
Why do parents have stickers covering their rear window that tell the school their child attends, the sports that they play, AND their child(ren)'s name?! Being a parent myself, I still can't wrap my brain around this concept. I have a few ideas, but still can't seem to justify this crazy idea....
#1. Parents are just proud and need to shout it to every stranger they pass on the road.
#2. Parents pour so much time and money into their child(ren)'s extra curricular activities, that having this sticker on their car gives them the "right" to boast where their money is going.
#3. All the other parents are doing it.
#4. Their child(ren) run their household and "told" their parents to do it.
#5. Since these parents spend most of their time being spectators to these events, they become consumed with the idea that they too are obsessed with the events.
#6. Their child(ren) put these stickers on without the parents knowing it (again, the children run their household).
Amen.
